Little abstract animatic based on music done for a storyboard assignment last year.

I'm in the mood to play...so I shall go and PLAY.

Experimentation : I did drawings by using acetates. 

I've painted acrylics on it and overlayed the sheets together.  

Then, I scratched on the surface instead of drawing.  

It was fun working on these little pieces.

I need to find a job "rapido presto" because as time goes by...I'm slowly getting bored of the normal routines.

PREPPY.  PREPPY.  I couldn't choose.  I'm more inclined to the first one.  

STOP MOTION

Preliminaire sketches. I decided to do a sheep for my stop motion project.  He is a wannabe superhero. I liked the idea of playing around with opposite traits. Instead of being the typical scared sheep... why not make him brave but at the same time silly. His duty is to save a pure innocent flower. 

Making the puppet : The armature is simple, I only used wires and epoxy.  The body and head are made out of Model Magic ( to keep it light ) Finally,  the shoes are made out of Fimo.  The only problem I have with my puppet are the legs,  they are difficult to manipulate and they get wavy. Gaahhh.  Don't worry he will have a little cape :)

Building the set:

Getting into character.

    Little props : Barns made out of paper,  aluminium foils, brochette sticks, ink and acrylic.

Fence : basic materials : wires and tooth picks.

We used Astroturf for our grass. The bushes are done with easter grass product that I bought for 0.75$ at Zeller.  Hooray for easter!

I guess that's it for now.  It's incomplete, background canvas and a hill still needs to be done. I'll try to update our progress. 

I believe I can fly...

This did not come out well...the shading is badly executed but I don't really care. I'm  tired of wanting things to be clean. I guess this drawing represent the state of mind i'm in.   I'm on break and I'm happy :)  

-POSITIVE SELFISHNESS-

I'm slowly developing a "selfish" attitude...it's good to please others but at some point I need to focus on myself.  I've realised that I give out so much and somehow never thought about my own needs/priorities.  I've got to learn to value my own time.  First step is to "Say No".

Say hello to my little buddies!

I was tired of working on an architectural project for draw 200...so I drew mini characters in order to escape my mind from the assignment.  The liberty of drawing whatever ...what a relief! I'm starting to really enjoy drawing again .  I almost forgot how fun it was.

I usually like the clean outline look but I'm starting to dig the messy/sketchy style. A change can do me good.
